Recently, the Egyptian Plastics Exporters and Manufacturers Association (EPEMA) officially sent a letter to the organizing committee of the China International Chemical Equipment Fair (CTEF), confirming its agreement to serve as a supporting unit of CTEF 2026. EPEMA will organize its member companies to visit and purchase equipment at the expo from June 9-11, 2026, and attend related forums and activities. This marks a new stage in international cooperation between the two parties in the field of chemical equipment and injects strong momentum into CTEF's internationalization process.

As a major industrial base on the African continent, Egypt's plastics industry occupies a vital position in the global supply chain. The Egyptian Plastics Exporters and Manufacturers Association (EPEMA), established in 1985, is a national-level industry organization officially registered with the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry and guided by the Confederation of Egyptian Industries (FEI). It is one of the oldest, most comprehensive, and most internationally influential professional associations in the Arab region's plastics industry.

The association currently has 237 active member companies, covering the entire industry chain from upstream polyolefin modification and midstream injection molding/blow molding/extrusion processing to downstream end-use applications such as automotive parts, medical packaging, building materials and pipes, and agricultural films. Over 60% of member companies hold ISO 9001/14001 and CE certifications, 32 are holders of the Egyptian "Golden License," and 17 are included in the key support list of the Egyptian National Export Promotion Center (EEPC). The association plays a crucial role in promoting the upgrading of Egypt's plastics industry and strengthening international exchange and cooperation. Its member companies' products are exported to more than 150 countries and regions worldwide, and they maintain close cooperative relationships with global chemical equipment companies.

Notably, EPEMA has shifted its strategic focus in recent years to the collaborative upgrading of chemical equipment, driving local plastics companies to transform from simple OEM manufacturing to high-value-added process system integration. In 2023, the association launched the "Intelligent Injection Molding Production Line Localization Partner Program," partnering with equipment manufacturers such as KraussMaffei (Germany) and Topstar (China) to provide Egyptian companies with a complete chain of process equipment solutions, from reactors and mixing systems to precision injection molding machines and intelligent MES systems.

EPEMA's confirmation of its support for CTEF2026 is not only an affirmation of the exhibition's professionalism but also a strategic choice to promote deep integration between the Egyptian plastics industry and advanced global chemical equipment technologies. In the future, both sides will engage in practical cooperation in areas such as mutual recognition of technical standards, joint construction of cross-border supply chains, and joint promotion of green and low-carbon equipment, jointly serving the new pattern of Sino-Egyptian production capacity cooperation under the "Belt and Road" framework.

As a leading international event, CTEF attracts over 1,000 benchmark companies from more than 20 countries and regions, including Germany, the UK, the US, South Korea, and Japan, creating a 70,000-square-meter industry event and building an efficient bridge for the global chemical equipment industry chain.
