Topic: Breakthrough, Intelligence & Upgrade — High-Quality Development Path for Chemical Equipment Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period
Abstract: 2026 marks the start of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. The industry focus has shifted from scale and technical parameters to intelligence and low-carbon development. Currently, the sector is faced with three major challenges: data silos, backward maintenance modes and insufficient integration of green technologies. Meanwhile, national equipment renewal policies, mature AI predictive maintenance and upgraded safety standards create unprecedented opportunities.
A framework of Three Modernizations & Three New Initiatives is proposed:
Three Modernizations: Digitalized equipment, intelligent operation & maintenance, eco-friendly equipment
Three New Initiatives: New mechanisms, new standards, talent development
Key tasks for 2026 include industry assessment, pilot projects on core equipment and joint formulation of technical standards.
Digital transformation is no longer optional but essential. Enterprises that build intelligent, self-optimizing equipment will gain competitive edges, profit margins and cost advantages in the new era.
