Driven by continued capacity expansion in semiconductors, new energy and other industries, the electronic chemicals sector is entering a new peak of capacity construction. Expansion projects for high-purity reagents, electronic specialty gases, wet electronic chemicals and other product categories are being approved one after another, while procurement demand for core equipment such as distillation and purification, ultra-clean filling and online monitoring is being released in a concentrated way.

Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and UFI-certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, the 2027 China International Chemical Technology and Equipment Fair (CTEF) will be held from June 3 to 5, 2027 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The Fair sets up a dedicated Electronic Chemicals Technology & Equipment Zone, aiming to precisely match equipment and machinery suppliers with procurement demand from the electronic chemicals industry and help them break into this emerging market.

 The Fair has already drawn strong attention from multinationals including DuPont, BASF, Mitsubishi Chemical, Air Products, Air Liquide and Merck, as well as domestic leaders such as Wanhua Chemical, Do-Fluoride, Huate Gas, Jinhong Gas and CSSC Peric Special Gas (Handan). All the above companies have been included in the first batch of key buyer lists (see the figure below) ☟☟☟, and their core decision-makers in technology, equipment and procurement are keeping close track of the Fair's developments and procurement matchmaking progress.

Meanwhile, procurement demand for electronic chemicals production-line equipment has exploded. In new-build and expansion projects of related companies, equipment investment accounts for as high as 60%–72% of the total, with a single high-end production line costing over RMB 350 million. From 2026 to 2027, equipment procurement orders worth several billion RMB will be directly released, covering six categories: high-purity purification, complete production sets, fluid conveyance, online monitoring, system integration and thermal management. Core equipment procurement demand is clear and concentrated, and several projects have already launched domestic equipment tenders.
