Focus on Innovation, Intelligence and Application! Join the CTEF Forum on Microchemical and Continuous Flow Technology!

Against the backdrop of the national Dual Carbon Goals and the Manufacturing Power Strategy, China's chemical industry is undergoing a profound transformation centered on green and intelligent development. Advancing the high-end industrial upgrading has become a shared mission of the nation and the industry. Continuous flow and microreaction technologies, with their outstanding advantages of intrinsic safety, process intensification, and precise controllability, have emerged as the key technical pathways to address the above challenges and lead the revolution in chemical production models, serving as the core bridge connecting Green Innovation and Smart Manufacturing for the Future.

Against this backdrop, the CTEF 2026 China International Chemical Equipment Fair specially sets up the "Forum on the Application and Innovation of Microchemical and Continuous Flow Technology". Focusing on cutting-edge directions such as continuous flow and microchannel reactors, the forum aims to gather wisdom from industry, academia, research and application sectors, jointly explore technological development trends, share industrialization practices, promote the transformation of innovative achievements, and help China's chemical industry step into a new stage of efficient, safe, low-carbon and sustainable development.

Keynote Speech Directions (CTEF 2026 Sessions in Shanghai, Xinjiang, Russia, Chengdu)

Direction 1: Strategy and Future

Continuous Flow Technology Drives New Productive Forces in the Chemical Industry

Focus on exploring solutions for heat exchangers in highly corrosive media and the application of high-performance alloy materials in high-pressure and high-temperature environments; discuss innovative points of high-efficiency heat pipe heat exchange structures (e.g., unique heat pipe materials and structural designs) and their specific performance in improving heat transfer efficiency (e.g., higher heat transfer efficiency, lower thermal resistance), and share the latest research results on structural optimization of new heat exchangers.

Direction 2: Core and Foundation

Scaling-up Strategies and Intrinsic Safety of Microchemical Processes

Focus on the core engineering challenges faced by the industrialization of continuous flow technology: process scaling-up and intrinsic safety. The content will conduct an in-depth analysis of scientific issues such as mass transfer, mixing and thermodynamics in the scaling-up process from laboratory microchannel reactors to 10,000-ton industrial installations, and introduce advanced scaling-up strategies such as modular design and numerical simulation. Meanwhile, it will focus on how to leverage the inherent characteristics of microreactors (small liquid holdup, high mass and heat transfer efficiency) to fundamentally solve the safety bottlenecks of traditional high-risk processes such as nitration, chlorination and hydrogenation, and share engineering cases of safety risk assessment and process intensification.

Direction 3: System and Integration

Systems Engineering and Equipment Intelligence of Continuous Flow Processes

Focus on the construction and optimization of the entire continuous flow production system. The content will cover high-efficiency coupling technologies of continuous flow reaction with subsequent separation and purification units (e.g., continuous extraction, membrane separation, distillation), and explain the design concept of integrated skid-mounted modules for "reaction-separation". It will also deeply introduce how to realize real-time monitoring, intelligent regulation and predictive maintenance of the entire continuous flow production line through advanced on-line analysis technology, process control system and digital twin technology, moving towards a true "smart factory".

Direction 4: Intelligence and Empowerment

Data and AI-Driven Innovation of Continuous Flow Processes

Focus on how cutting-edge artificial intelligence and big data technologies empower the whole life cycle of continuous flow technology. The content will demonstrate how AI algorithms can greatly accelerate the development and optimization of new processes, realizing intelligent screening of reaction pathways and precise prediction of process parameters. It will also explore how to build process models using massive data generated in the production process to achieve adaptive control and real-time closed-loop optimization of product quality, showing a future vision where data becomes a core production factor.

Direction 5: Application and Value

Cross-Industry Industrialization Cases and Economic Benefit Analysis

Prove the commercial value of continuous flow technology through specific and successful industrialization cases. The content will select typical applications in different fields such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, electronic chemicals and new energy materials, and elaborate on how continuous flow processes improve product purity, reduce energy and material consumption, boost production efficiency and cut waste emissions. It will focus on the economic benefit analysis of technological transformation and new construction projects, quantify the return on investment, provide intuitive and credible transformation basis for enterprise decision-makers, and bridge the last mile from technical recognition to commercial investment.
