  • Asia-Europe Core Hub – One Exhibition Links Procurement Needs of 20 Countries

Located in the heart of the Eurasian continent, Xinjiang boasts unparalleled geographical advantages. It is a core area of the Belt and Road Initiative and a bridgehead for westward opening-up. More importantly, it is a crucial hub connecting China's 1.4 billion people with the international market of 1.3 billion. Bordering eight countries in Central Asia, South Asia, and West Asia, and possessing 19 open ports, Xinjiang is providing solid support for the efficient flow of industrial factors through its "one main and two auxiliary" railway corridors for entering and exiting the region, its international multimodal transport system, and the stable operation of the China-Europe Railway Express. In 2024, the region's total import and export volume reached 435.11 billion yuan, a 21.8% increase, exceeding the 100 billion yuan mark for the second consecutive year. This has created a historic opportunity for chemical equipment enterprises to use Xinjiang as a fulcrum to radiate to Central Asia and a wider market.

This year's exhibition precisely targets this strategic value and is expected to attract professional purchasing delegations from 20 countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and other core Central and South Asian countries, as well as Spain, South Korea, and Japan. These include Kazakhstan's IDS, an integrated industrial equipment service provider; the state-owned chemical company United Chemical Company (UCC); Uzbekistan's largest state-owned chemical company, Uzkimyosanoat JSC; Andijan Bio-Chemical Plant; and its largest private oil and gas company, LLC Sanoat Energetika Guruhi; Kyrgyzstan's largest oil and gas producer, Kyrgyzneftegaz; Turkmenistan's state-owned chemical group, Turkmenhimiya State Concern; and the Spanish multinational energy giant Repsol; as well as representatives from leading global integrated chemical companies such as LG Chem and SK Chemicals from South Korea.

To further enhance matchmaking efficiency, the exhibition will host multiple "precise matching" international procurement matchmaking sessions. Buyers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and other countries have already brought specific needs lists for oil and gas extraction equipment, natural gas chemical equipment, and environmental treatment technologies, eager to discuss these matters face-to-face with exhibitors. In addition, the exhibition will also host the "Silk Road Economic Belt Core Area" Chemical Equipment Cooperation and Market Development Forum, featuring in-depth analysis of the investment environment, policies, regulations, and technical standards in the Central Asian market by internationally renowned experts, helping companies accurately grasp the market demands of countries along the "Belt and Road."

  • Shifting Industries Westward to Build a High Ground – Precisely Connecting With Orders for Projects Worth Hundreds of Billions

Currently, guided by the national energy security strategy, the chemical industry is strategically shifting westward to resource-rich areas in the west. Xinjiang is accelerating the construction of a world-class energy and chemical industry base, driven by major projects. In the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, an industrial transformation with an investment exceeding 200 billion yuan is underway—Shandong Energy Chemical and Dongming Plastics' 50 billion yuan coal-to-olefins project and the State Energy Group's 49 billion yuan coal-to-natural gas project are progressing side by side, while Qiya Group's 10 billion yuan organosilicon project has been launched simultaneously. By 2027, a 100 billion yuan coal chemical industry cluster covering eight complete industrial chains, including coal-to-olefins and coal-to-gas, will be established.

Over 100 billion yuan of investment in the Tarim region has activated the dual engines of "refining and chemical integration + fine chemicals". The 29 billion yuan ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical and the 4 billion yuan coal-to-ethylene glycol project of Zhongkun New Materials are progressing in parallel, and the nearly 30 billion yuan "refining and chemical integration" project of Tahe Refining and Chemical is advancing simultaneously, building the core competitiveness of the chemical industry center in southern Xinjiang and opening up the entire industrial chain market space from refining to fine chemicals for high-end equipment enterprises.

An 80 billion yuan investment circle around Urumqi is focusing on the new materials revolution. The nearly 4 billion yuan fluorine materials project in Ganquanbao Economic Development Zone and the 44.5 billion yuan Zhongnengjian green hydrogen ammonia project are leading technological breakthroughs. The 1.5 billion yuan BDO unit and the 1.3 billion yuan polyoxymethylene project of Guotai Xinhua are promoting the upgrading of fine chemicals. Strategic emerging materials such as fluorine chemicals and electronic chemicals are providing new tracks for high-end equipment.
